Job Title: Occupational Health Nurse Practitioner/PA-C

We are seeking a skilled Occupational Health Nurse Practitioner/PA-C to join our team in Kansas City, KS. As a part-time, long-term contract opportunity, you will work with our well-known manufacturing client to provide occupational and preventative care for employees onsite.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Treat minor work-related and non-work-related injuries and illnesses for employees onsite
  • Perform onsite physical assessments (pre-placement, return-to-work, fitness-for-duty)
  • Dispense over the counter and prescription medications in accordance with pre-established standing orders to employees with minor work-related and non-work-related concerns
  • Provide support and case management for both work-related and non-work-related conditions for the purposes of reducing illness and absenteeism
  • Provide onsite testing for strep pharyngitis, UTI, influenza, hyperglycemia, and hypoglycemia
  • Promote wellness/wellbeing initiatives at the site
  • Respond to emergencies on the campus as needed
Requirements:
  • Active/unrestricted Nurse Practitioner (FNP or ANP) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) license in the state of Kansas
  • Current prescription authority and DEA
  • Minimum of 3-5 years' experience as a provider in an Occupational Health, Emergency Medicine, Urgent Care, Internal Medicine, Corrections, and/or Family Practice type setting
