The Corporate Accounting Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing daily accounting functions within corporate finance, encompassing areas such as debt and equity arrangements, revenue recognition, intercompany transactions, and both standalone and consolidated financial reporting.

This position will collaborate closely with the VP of Technical and Corporate Accounting to ensure that the implementation of accounting research is executed efficiently and effectively.

The ideal candidate will be a transformative leader, fostering a positive culture and guiding the accounting team towards excellence.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA certification is mandatory
  • Experience with a Big Four Accounting Firm or a similarly reputable firm is preferred
  • Proficiency in ERP systems is essential; familiarity with Workday is a plus.
  • A minimum of seven years of progressively responsible experience in the Accounting/Financial sector, including public accounting or corporate environments with complex intercompany dynamics
  • Experience in managing consolidated corporate financial operations and intercompany accounting
  • Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and current trends in financial management
  • One to three years of supervisory experience
  • Advanced skills in Windows-based software, particularly Excel
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES

  • Oversee daily accounting operations for corporate finance, including the review and posting of journal entries as necessary
  • Manage accounting functions for corporate and headquarters finance, including equity arrangements, investments, new debt structures, intercompany transactions, and eliminations
  • Support the implementation and daily accounting for new reporting structures
  • Act as a liaison with the financial systems and innovation team to ensure that the needs of the corporate accounting team are addressed and implemented
  • Collaborate with operational finance teams to translate accounting guidance into actionable operational processes
  • Assist in the preparation and initial review of financial statements, focusing on balance sheets and cash flow, while also monitoring the P&L monthly
  • Facilitate intercompany relationships and transactions, ensuring proper reconciliation and documentation
  • Aid in the preparation of financial surveys required by governing bodies
  • Assist in the preparation of foreign statutory financial statements and ongoing monitoring
  • Seek out new challenges and tasks that align with departmental goals, emphasizing efficiency and technological advancements
  • Oversee the financial statement close and audit processes at year-end
  • Undertake special projects or additional duties as assigned
