Key Responsibilities
  • Establish a consultative rapport with existing clients by providing innovative ideas and solutions to enhance their market position and drive their success.
  • Actively seek new client opportunities through outreach and relationship building.
  • Meet and exceed sales, margin, and profit objectives.
  • Conduct comprehensive business evaluations with clients to strengthen partnerships.
  • Relay essential information regarding customer procurement and delivery requirements to relevant departments promptly.
  • Collaborate with internal sales representatives to manage account activities effectively.
  • Maintain responsible inventory oversight for both stock and non-stock items to minimize shortages.
  • Leverage technology to enhance communication, analyze data, and optimize processes.
  • Coordinate with Accounts Receivable to ensure timely collection of payments for products sold.
  • Participate in trade exhibitions, vendor showcases, and meetings as necessary.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Prior experience in broadline food service sales or the restaurant sector is preferred.
  • Sales experience is advantageous; a proven history of developing a sales territory is ideal.
  • Willingness to engage in cold calling is essential.
  • Ability to confidently finalize sales is necessary.
  • General knowledge of inventory management, operations, and culinary practices is preferred.
  • A professional appearance is expected.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and numerical skills are required.
  • Proficiency in computer usage and a willingness to adopt new technologies are important.
  • A clean driving record, valid driver's license, and reliable transportation with appropriate insurance are mandatory.
  • Willingness to travel within the designated territory is required.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening is necessary.
