About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Acquisitions Associate to join our Asset Acquisition team within our Corporate Development and Portfolio Management organization. As an Acquisitions Associate, you will play a key role in fueling revenue and growth through analysis and acquisition of new and innovative assets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Originate, negotiate, and manage real estate transactions acquiring new rooftop and ground assets, and where applicable, obtain optimized operational and contractual rights to maximize future revenue opportunities.
  • Project manage and close a high volume of transactions each year, achieving annual targets relative to originations and closings within designated cycle times.
  • Prepare and present written and verbal offers/presentations to landowners, providing ongoing communication and reports on the status of negotiations for revenue stream buyouts, easements, and land purchases.
  • Review proposed lease language and associated materials to identify issues, partnering with functional teams to resolve.
  • Manage administrative elements of closing transactions, including execution of legal documents.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, or Finance preferred.
  • Legal, structured settlement, business development, sales, and/or real estate experience preferred.
  • Approximately 25% travel may be required in support of the position's responsibilities.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present ideas and suggestions clearly and effectively.
  • Ability to work with different functional groups and levels of employees to effectively and professionally achieve results.
  • Strong organizational skills; ability to accomplish multiple tasks within the agreed-upon timeframes through effective prioritization of duties and functions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to use Excel, Word, and Salesforce; ability to understand financial models and concepts.
