Job Overview

Alcanza Clinical Research is a dynamic and expanding multi-site clinical research organization with a diverse network across various states. We specialize in Phase I-IV clinical trials across multiple therapeutic areas, including vaccine research, neurology, dermatology, psychiatry, and general medicine. The Infusion Nurse is responsible for executing clinical procedures such as venipunctures, injections, and infusions, adhering strictly to the study protocol during the clinical research process.

Key Responsibilities

Essential Duties:

Under the guidance of the Principal/Sub Investigator(s) and in accordance with the study protocol, the Infusion Nurse will:
  • Assist with various tasks while ensuring compliance with company policies and FDA, GCP, and ICH regulations:
    • Conduct subject visits;
    • Maintain accurate source documentation and electronic data capture;
    • Document and report any adverse events; and
    • Perform procedures in line with licensure, including vital signs, ECGs/EKGs, venipunctures, injections, infusions, and preparation of investigational products.
  • Adhere to ALCOAC principles consistently;
  • Foster effective communication with subjects, investigators, and team members;
  • Report any concerns or compliance issues promptly;
  • Ensure timely review of study-related reports and subject results by the investigator;
  • Uphold strict confidentiality of patient information at all times;
  • Carry out additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements: A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) and at least one year of clinical experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. An active, unrestricted RN license in the state of employment is mandatory. BLS certification is required. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is advantageous.

  • Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Office, email, electronic health records, and web applications, with a typing speed of 40+ wpm;
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities;
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills and the capacity to work independently as well as collaboratively;
  • Adept at managing multiple tasks and adapting to shifting workloads and priorities;
  • Professional demeanor, respect for others, self-motivated, and a strong work ethic;
  • High integrity and dependability;
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, identify issues, and implement solutions;
  • Competence in handling sensitive information confidentially and in compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
