Key Responsibilities:
  • Update plan documentation and notices to ensure compliance with legal requirements.
  • Work with our Third-Party Administrator to coordinate, process, and dispose of workers' compensation claims and cases.
  • Prepare resolutions for Board of Trustee meetings, including describing proposed changes, associated research, and data requests.
  • Lead Trustee Prep meetings, including preparation and distribution of resolutions and amendments.
  • Post all resolutions, amendments, and reports in Better Meetings within established deliverable dates.
  • Prepare Trustee monitoring reports, cost impact reports, and other reports/documents related to the Board of Trustee meeting.
  • Prepare drafts of necessary benefit and administrative amendments and associated plan documents.
  • Update all plan documents and communication materials to comply with federal benefits and benefits-related legislation and regulations.
  • Maintain electronic archives of all plan documents.
  • Conduct research and evaluation on benefit trends and provide value-added analysis and summary.
  • Communicate benefit plan and policy information to internal teams.
  • Build relationships internally and collaborate effectively on cross-functional teams.
  • Provide support for the implementation of new projects, benefits, programs, etc.
  • Coordinate and facilitate content and editorial review of all ERISA documents and procedures.
  • Coordinate review and distribution of legally required notices to government entities and participants.
Requirements:
  • 5-7 years of related experience in employee health benefits administration and compliance.
  • Working knowledge and experience of health insurance, managed healthcare, and legally required communications and documentation.
  • Prior experience working in a Union environment or with Taft Hartley plans.
  • Prior experience preparing Board of Trustee meeting materials.
  • Prior experience updating plan documents, summary plan descriptions, and drafting summaries of material modifications.
  • Working knowledge of welfare benefits plans as it relates to plan design and administration.
  • Working knowledge of employees' benefits the legal environment (ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA).
  • Working knowledge and experience in drafting health plan communications and other documentation.
  • Knowledge of workers' compensation process preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare or related field or industry-related experience.
What We Offer:

We offer a competitive salary range of $81,400 - $101,700, actual base salary may vary based on relevant experience, qualifications, expertise, certifications, licenses, education, or equivalent work experience, time in role, peer and market data, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.

We also offer a hybrid work-from-home arrangement, Monday-Friday, 7.5 hours per day (37.5 hours per week), with potential for flexible scheduling to meet business needs.
