Position Summary:
The Communication Specialist - Post-Acute Rehabilitation role at Johns Hopkins Medicine involves providing medically prescribed services for inpatients and/or outpatients to restore function, minimize disability following disease, or injury, and to assist the patient in reaching his/her maximum possible level of functioning to assume a place in society while learning to live within the limits of his/her disability.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing assessments and treatment activities with patients to help them achieve their maximum possible level of functioning.
- Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to exchange work-related information and provide factual updates.
- Utilizing normal courtesy and tact in dealing with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Current State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
- A Certificate of Clinical Competency from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association, preferably.
- Current CPR certification.
Experience:
Successful completion of a Speech Language Pathology Clinical Fellowship is required, as is experience in a Post-Acute rehabilitation setting. We are excited to offer this opportunity to individuals who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of our patients and their families.
Estimated Salary Range: $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
