Chemical Plant Operator

Ecolab, a leading provider of premium cleaning, sanitizing, and maintenance solutions, is seeking a skilled Chemical Batch Mixer to join our team. This critical role involves mixing chemical batches by following established formulas, guidelines, and standard operating procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Review daily mix schedules and ensure the necessary raw materials are available.
- Accurately add raw materials to mixes manually, using pumps or mixing systems, and follow mix instructions.
- Mix batches using variable agitation and perform routine observations to ensure batch quality.
- Report any out-of-spec raw materials, premixes, or mixed batches and consult with Quality personnel on batch adjustments.
- Properly clean out all mix tanks and operate fork trucks, palletizers, scales, pumps, and other material handling equipment.
- Perform building and equipment preventative maintenance and other duties as assigned.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- 1 year of previous experience working in a chemical and/or manufacturing environment.
- 1 year of experience working with systems, pumps, reading meters, basic Quality Control data, and tracking mixing and quality information.
- 1 year of experience performing basic Quality Control tests (taking samples, performing pH tests).
- No Immigration Sponsorship available for this opportunity.
- Must be able to lift/carry 50lbs.
- Must be able to participate in respirator fitness.
- Must be able to pass a drug screen, background check, and physical exam.
- Previous experience working in a chemical and/or manufacturing environment.
- Basic knowledge of chemistry.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Ability to read and match numbers on shipping records, labels, raw materials, and finished goods.
- Ability to work safely and efficiently.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
This position pays an hourly rate of $29 and is eligible for overtime. Ecolab offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, matching 401k, company-paid pension, stock purchase plan, tuition reimbursement, and more.
