Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage with VRS members to enhance their understanding of retirement benefits and services.
  • Deliver retirement counseling through virtual platforms, in-person meetings, or telephone consultations independently.
  • Handle incoming calls and address inquiries, questions, and requests.
  • Provide advanced-level retirement counseling, including intricate retirement estimate calculations.
  • Educate members on Medicare eligibility and supplemental insurance options.
  • Assist with email communications and workflow support.
  • Contribute to special projects as assigned.
Work Schedule: 29 Hours per Week

Flexible Hours: Available between 8:30 am and 5:00 pm

Workdays: Monday through Friday

Work Location: On-site at the VRS Retirement Counseling Center

Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.

Two (2) years of experience in benefits counseling, Human Resources, or high-volume customer service.

Preferred Skills:
  • Exceptional customer service abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and active listening skills.
  • Capability to convey complex information clearly.
  • Professional demeanor, empathy, and confidence.
  • Proficiency in mathematical and problem-solving tasks.
