Job Summary

The Salvation Army Central Territory is seeking a highly skilled Security Monitor to join our team. As a Security Monitor, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our clients, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Enforce security protocols and procedures to maintain a safe and secure environment
  • Monitor security cameras and respond to any security incidents
  • Conduct regular security checks and patrols of the facility
  • Search clients and their belongings for contraband or prohibited items
  • Conduct Breathalyzer tests and urine drug screens as required
  • Escort clients to and from the welcome center and other areas of the facility
  • Direct and document bed checks to verify client census
  • Confiscate and dispose of contraband and document incidents
  • Perform other security-related tasks as assigned
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Security experience preferred
  • Valid driver's license and ability to maintain The Salvation Army Driver's qualification standard
  • Ability to speak, write, and understand English in a manner sufficient for effective communication
  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft products and ability to learn electronic reporting systems
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to respond to security incidents as needed. The Security Monitor will be required to stand for extended periods and to lift, pull, and push materials up to 50 pounds.
