Your Role

As a Loan Processing Specialist, you will be a vital contributor to ensuring that all loans are processed efficiently and in compliance with our established policies and procedures. You will oversee a pipeline of transactions, managing every aspect from application through to funding, while delivering an exceptional customer experience.

Within the First Month, You Will:

  • Establish relationships with your outstanding team and cross-functional partners.
  • Gain insight into how Unison is transforming the residential real estate landscape.
  • Acquire knowledge of mortgage compliance and regulatory requirements.
  • Familiarize yourself with our Investment Processor Policies and Procedures and understand their role within the Unison origination process.
  • Navigate our proprietary Equity Origination System with ease.
  • Manage a small pipeline of over 50 transactions from application to funding.

Within Three Months, You Will:

  • Become well-versed in our company culture and brainstorm ways to reflect this within your team.
  • Take ownership of a pipeline exceeding 150 transactions from application to funding.
  • Lead initiatives related to mortgage processing.
  • Independently review and process all applications.
  • Master the complete process of an Investment Processor while adhering to service level agreements.
  • Collect necessary documentation from various sources, including clients, vendors, and third parties.
  • Order, track, and review vendor reports such as Title Reports, Appraisals, and Home Inspections to ensure timely receipt and compliance with Unison's guidelines.
  • Clear conditions as required by the Investment Underwriting team.
  • Generate and review final closing documents for accuracy and completeness.
  • Ensure compliance with Unison product requirements and associated fees.
  • Coordinate with escrow companies to facilitate timely funding of transactions.
  • Achieve monthly targets for funded transactions, turnaround times, and pull-through rates.

Your Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • At least 1 year of experience in the mortgage industry, preferably in a processing or closing role.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce and Microsoft Office or similar software.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to multitask.
  • Knowledge of mortgage regulations is advantageous.
  • Willingness to work in the Omaha office three days a week.
