Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Vocational Nurse to join our team at CHRISTUS Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our providers to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Provide professional nursing care to patients, including administering treatments and medications as prescribed.
  • Assist with patient preparation, including obtaining vital signs and conducting initial assessments.
  • Coordinate patient transfers and discharges, and respond to incoming telephone calls and messages.
  • Perform various tasks, including specimen collection, wound care, and vital sign monitoring, as trained and certified.
  • Document patient information and maintain accurate records, following CHRISTUS Health policies and procedures.
  • Participate in professional development activities and maintain licensure and certification requirements.
  • Ensure confidentiality and maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited school of practical nursing or vocational nursing.
  • Valid state license to practice nursing and current BLS certification.
