Job Overview

Belt Power LLC is seeking a highly skilled Business Operations Specialist to oversee office activities, production, and facility management for one or more branch operations and locations.

This salaried position offers a competitive salary range of $57,500 to $62,500 per year, along with a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, 401K, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, and paid time off.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Handling quotes and orders for outside salespeople and customers, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
  • Maintaining strong relationships with vendors and suppliers, negotiating contracts and managing inventory levels.
  • Optimizing shop production, workflows, and supply orders, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Coordinating with the outside sales team, operations, and accounting teams to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Providing exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Managing shop employees, including the Belt Shop Manager, Belt Shop Technicians, Shipping/Receiving, and other branch staff, ensuring effective leadership and guidance.
  • Verifying branch hourly employee time cards, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Overseeing repairs and upgrades to branch physical structures and facilities, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Maintaining facility IT equipment, computer systems, and phone systems, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime.
  • Scheduling and coordinating outside contractors, ensuring timely and cost-effective completion of projects.
  • Communicating effectively with the supervisor, providing regular updates on branch activities and performance.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers and vendors, ensuring long-term partnerships and growth opportunities.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Previous experience in industrial distribution, with a strong mechanical background and understanding of conveyor systems.
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills, with attention to detail and a high level of responsiveness to customer needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues, customers, and vendors.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, with manual dexterity and strength in arms and feet to manipulate equipment controls.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record, with the ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
  • High school diploma or equivalent education, with a strong desire to learn new processes and systems.

Work Environment

The Business Operations Specialist will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with frequent travel, overtime hours, and weekend work required. The position will involve working near moving and mechanical parts, with exposure to loud noise levels.
