As a key member of the team at IPRO, this role involves conducting comprehensive evaluations and certifications of ICF/MR facilities under the guidance of the NYS Department of Health (DOH). The individual will be responsible for performing utilization and quality assessments, as well as reviewing and processing referred reports to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations. If deficiencies are identified, the individual will draft statements accordingly. Additionally, this position may involve providing technical support to both internal and external organizations.

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Capacity to work autonomously with minimal oversight.
  • Ability to effectively engage with clinical and administrative staff as well as patients.
  • Proficient in computer usage with a willingness to learn new review systems and monitoring tools.
  • Willingness to travel to various facilities within New York State is mandatory.
  • A valid driver's license is required, along with the ability to travel for facility review assignments.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND & EXPERIENCE:
  • Must possess a NYS RN license and have graduated from an accredited professional nursing program. A Bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred. A minimum of two (2) years of experience working with the Intellectual Disability population and recognized as a QIDP (Qualified Intellectual Disability Professional) with survey experience is required.
OR
  • A Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) or a Master's degree in another healthcare-related field such as Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, or a similar clinical area. A minimum of two (2) years of experience with the Intellectual Disability population and recognized as a QIDP with survey experience is required.
The salary range provided reflects a good faith estimate of potential base compensation for this position and may be subject to change. The annual salary range for this role is between $70,000 and $75,000. Actual compensation will depend on various factors including experience, education, credentials, location, and budget considerations.
