Job Title: Quality Assurance TechnicianWe are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Technician to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:- Assess and Maintain Quality: Conduct inspections to ensure the quality of new and existing products, identifying and addressing any defects or issues.
- Inspect and Test: Perform pre-kiln inspections, inspect parts for critical-to-quality features, and conduct tests to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Communicate and Collaborate: Communicate findings to team leaders and participate in communication with manufacturing, engineering, and other departments as required.
- Support Quality Planning: Review manufacturing processes, identify areas for improvement, and assist in implementing process control methods and tools.
- Investigate Quality Issues: Assist in investigating quality issues, participating in the development of test plans, and carrying out tests to identify root causes.
- Conduct Quality Audits: Conduct quality audits as required to ensure compliance with ISO standards.
- Education: High school graduate or GED qualified.
- Experience: Desire and willingness to learn, in a predetermined probation period, the minimum skills required to meet and maintain acceptable quality and productivity standards.
- Skills: Ability to interpret technical drawings, use measurement equipment, and communicate effectively with team members.
- Physical Demands: Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands or fingers to handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms. Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Previous Ceramic Manufacturing Experience: 1 or more years of experience in ceramic manufacturing or 2 or more years of continuous employment in a non-assembly line manufacturing environment.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 1st (7:00 am – 3:30 pm) 2nd (3:00 pm – 11:30 pm) or 3rd shift (11:00 pm – 7:30 am). Occasional Saturday/Sunday hours may be required.
