Position Overview

The manufacturing division is in search of a Quality Assurance and Control Manager.

Compensation: Salary range is $75,000 – $90,000 plus potential annual bonuses.

Key Responsibilities

The Quality Assurance and Control Manager (QACM) plays a pivotal role in the design and enhancement of statistical quality systems that are essential for ensuring that manufacturing processes meet established benchmarks.

This role encompasses the management of quality systems across multiple sites to maintain ISO 9001 certifications. The QACM will also facilitate systemic modifications based on feedback from various departments.

Quality Measurement and Improvement

The QACM is tasked with establishing, measuring, and tracking production quality through the implementation of process metrics. Collaborating with the engineering team, the manager will investigate the causes of variability that exceed defined control limits. Additionally, the QACM will review quality concerns and relay findings to relevant team members.

ISO Audits and Corrective Actions

The incumbent will oversee annual ISO audits and related activities, ensuring all corrective actions are addressed through various methodologies. This includes maintaining ongoing communication with diverse stakeholders such as customers and suppliers.

Team Management

This position also involves supervising personnel within the quality department.

Education and Experience Requirements

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Statistics, or a related discipline
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Quality Engineering role
  • At least 2 years of management experience, preferably in a Quality Management capacity

Preferred:

  • Expertise in Minitab software
  • Six Sigma Green Belt certification
  • ISO 9001 Compliance Training
  • Active membership in the American Society for Quality (ASQ)
