Key Responsibilities- Perform high-quality radiographic procedures, including diagnostic and fluoroscopic imaging, to ensure accurate and reliable results.
- Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Position patients and select exposure factors for various radiologic examinations, adhering to established safety protocols and radiation protection guidelines.
- Process and label images, verify exam accuracy, and enter patient and study information into the radiology information system.
- Collaborate with radiologists to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records, adhering to regulatory requirements and departmental policies.
- Radiographer license issued by the state of Wisconsin.
- Registered Technologist (RT) registration issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Advanced training beyond High School in Radiologic Technology.
- Intermediate computer skills and proficiency in radiology information systems.
- Must be able to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders frequently throughout the workday.
- Must be able to stand/walk for majority of the day.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. from floor to waist, lift up to 20 lbs. over the head, and carry up to 40 lbs. a reasonable distance.
- Must be able to push/pull with 30 lbs. of force and perform a sliding transfer of 150 lbs. with a second person present.
