Job SummaryThe successful candidate will be responsible for developing structural system design drawings in support of design/build projects. This includes industrial, self-storage, controlled environments, entertainment, multi-family, and other types of facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare detailed structural designs for design/build projects under the direction of senior engineers.
- Design and specify structural systems, including load calculations, gravity and lateral system analysis, structural details, and connections.
- Work with our multi-disciplined engineering team to deliver projects.
- Help lead projects with other engineering and modeling staff to deliver comprehensive structural design packages.
- Assist in the development of industry-leading automated design methods and tools.
- Work with our fabrication modeling team to facilitate successful project execution.
- Provide value engineering reviews and alternate design options to maximize cost savings and optimize lead times.
- BS in Civil, Architectural, or Structural Engineering with a minimum 3.2 GPA.
- 1-5 years of experience in structural engineering of buildings.
- BIM experience preferred, with Revit and Tekla knowledge a plus.
- Experience utilizing structural engineering software such as SAP, Etabs, RAM, Enercalc, etc.
- Able to organize, plan, and manage multiple activities/projects to accomplish desired results.
