Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Patient Relations Representative to join our team. As a key member of our patient relations team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, responding to patient inquiries, and ensuring a positive experience for our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Answer incoming calls and route them to the appropriate personnel
- Schedule, confirm, and cancel office appointments as patients call in
- Work on referrals and import demographics from patient portals
- Pick up voicemail messages on a daily basis
- Verify patients' health plan benefits and obtain authorization, if necessary
- Assist patients with questions and/or concerns regarding procedures
- Request medical records from doctors and hospitals
- Call-in new prescriptions and refills and obtain authorization, if necessary
- Obtain lab results, including stat requests
- A high school degree or GED is required for this position
- One year of experience in customer service and/or a related clinical environment; working knowledge of medical terminology is a plus
- Call Center Representative or Receptionist experience is a plus
- Dependability and punctuality are required
- Ability to work between the hours of 8:00 am and 5:00 pm
- Medical terminology knowledge is preferred
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred
