About the Role

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance on heating, air-conditioning, and ventilation systems at critical infrastructure sites.
  • Install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, and cooling units for commercial customers, including diagnosing and repairing electronic, mechanical, and electrical components.
  • Identify repair and/or replacement needs and maintain accurate service and maintenance records.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and clients to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Travel to job sites in the service area and work with dispatch to ensure schedules are maintained and delays are properly communicated to customers.
  • Maintain proper stock, parts, tools, and safety equipment in the vehicle.
  • Document all installed equipment upon arrival, including make, model, serial number, type of fuel, necessary test measurements, and pictures as necessary.
  • Diagnose diverse service issues, obtain replacement parts, and calibrate systems to manufacturer's recommendations.
Requirements
  • At least 1-2+ years of commercial HVAC experience and a Universal EPA Certificate.
  • High School Diploma or Associates Degree.
  • Microsoft Office experience, specifically Word and Excel.
  • Valid driver's license and a good driving record.
  • Willingness to travel, including some overnight stays.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to utilize a mobile device throughout the workday.
Work Environment

The physical demands of this role include walking, talking, and hearing. The employee must regularly lift up to 51 pounds, push, pull, carry, or maneuver heavier items with additional manpower or devices, carry and climb ladders, work from heights, work in small crawl spaces, balance, stoop, and kneel. The employee will work in all weather conditions, both in extreme cold and heat, and may drive for extended periods of time, including all weather and light conditions.

Compensation

Expected compensation includes $25-30/hour and benefits, including medical, vision, and dental benefits, and a 401(k) retirement plan available for eligible employees. Compensation may vary depending on factors such as education, training, experience, skills, geographic location, seniority, merit, and other job-related factors.
