1. Assist in the recruitment, hiring, training, and development of a high-performing team, including Member Service Representatives, Trainers, and Custodians.
2. Help maintain a welcoming environment for all members, prospective members, and guests, ensuring that the team adheres to exceptional customer service standards.
3. Support Staff Management and provide assistance to the Club Manager as required:
- Aid in scheduling and supervising team members.
- Oversee member service to ensure that staff consistently delivers an excellent customer experience.
- Assist in addressing or escalating employee issues or concerns.
Engagement in Front Desk Operations:
- Answer phone calls courteously and assist callers with various inquiries.
- Facilitate member check-ins within the system.
- Manage new member registrations.
- Conduct tours for prospective members.
- Address all member requests, issues, and inquiries.
- Help oversee the cleanliness and upkeep of the facility.
- Assist in the procurement of supplies based on the club's budgetary needs.
- Aid in monitoring statistics and reports (weekly, monthly, and annually).
- Provide backup support for any absent team member.
Qualifications and Skills
- Exceptional customer service abilities, ideally within the fitness sector.
- Previous experience as a Member Service Representative at a fitness organization.
- Strong supervisory, diplomatic, and listening skills.
- Basic proficiency in computer applications (Microsoft Suite).
- Highly motivated, enthusiastic, and energetic.
- Effective problem-solving capabilities.
- Current CPR Certification is mandatory.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
Physical Requirements
- Frequent standing and walking throughout the shift.
- Continuous communication in person or via phone during the shift.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 75 lbs.
- May encounter hazardous materials during the shift.
