  • Diagnose and repair intricate electronic and mechanical systems at the component level.
  • Engage in intermediate product development activities.

  • Complete necessary service report documentation.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):

Essential KSAs:

  • Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical institution; five to eight years of relevant experience and/or training; or a combination of ten years of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety regulations, operational and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
  • Capable of writing routine reports and correspondence.
  • Effective communication skills for presenting information to groups.
  • Proficient in basic calculations involving proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Apply basic algebra, physics, and geometry concepts.
  • Utilize common sense to follow written, oral, or diagrammatic instructions.
  • Resolve problems involving multiple concrete variables in standardized situations.

Must have a comprehensive understanding of electronics and mechanics, along with intermediate to advanced troubleshooting capabilities acquired through repair experience.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this position, employees are regularly required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers for handling or feeling, reach with hands and arms, climb, and balance. They may need to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl in confined spaces and must be able to communicate effectively. Occasionally, employees may be required to sit and lift or move items over 50 pounds. Close vision and color vision are essential, and employees may be exposed to outdoor weather conditions and electrical hazards. The work environment is typically loud, and employees may encounter hazardous materials and slippery surfaces.
