Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Healthcare Tech to join our team at Carle Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide essential support to our licensed nursing staff, ensuring the highest level of care for our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with the maintenance of unit supplies, including stocking nurse servers, cleaning instruments and equipment, ordering supplies, and making up charts.
  • Collect and document patient data as directed by the Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Perform or assist patients with activities of daily living, including preparing patients for transportation and/or transport.
  • Room patients, including bringing them to their room, assisting with undressing and putting on a gown, obtaining vital signs, and providing instruction and assistance on CHG baths if applicable.
  • Provide on-hand patient care under the direction and supervision of an RN, including discontinuing IVs, ambulating patients to the bathroom prior to discharge, and performing bladder scans if necessary.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Completion of CNA coursework within the past 24 months, or successful completion of Carle's HCT In-Training Program, or work experience as a CNA within the past 24 months, or successful completion of at least one semester of nursing clinical experiences, or documented relevant medical military training.
