Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Healthcare Support Specialist to join our team at Carle Foundation Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide essential support to our licensed nursing staff, ensuring the highest level of care for our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with the maintenance of unit supplies, including stocking nurse servers, cleaning instruments and equipment, ordering supplies, and making up charts.
  • Collect data on assigned patients as directed by Registered Nurse (RN) and ensure accurate documentation.
  • Perform or assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Prepare patients for transportation and/or transport.
  • Provide on-hands patient care under the direction and supervision of an RN, including discontinuing IVs, ambulating patients to the bathroom, and performing bladder scans.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Completion of CNA coursework within the past 24 months, or successful completion of Carle's HCT In-Training Program, or work experience as a CNA within the past 24 months, or successful completion of at least one semester of nursing clinical experiences, or documented relevant medical military training.
