Role Responsibilities

As a Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in our collaborative care teams, which are dedicated to providing high-quality primary care. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Facilitating smooth patient flow by efficiently rooming patients and assisting providers in maintaining their schedules.
  • Ensuring an outstanding patient experience and preparing patients for their visits.
  • Collecting vital signs, documenting chief complaints, and reviewing medication histories.
  • Conducting patient screenings according to established protocols.
  • Managing inventory by ordering supplies and keeping examination rooms stocked.
  • Performing routine quality control checks, including infection control and equipment maintenance.
  • Maintaining clean and safe exam rooms, ready for patient visits.
  • Providing telephonic support to patients under the guidance of an RN or provider.
  • Administering vaccinations and performing various medical procedures as directed.
  • Conducting waived laboratory tests and scheduling necessary diagnostic procedures.
  • Assisting with the application of durable medical equipment.
  • Participating in care team meetings to enhance patient care and clinic operations.
  • Completing additional tasks as assigned.

The Medical Assistant will report directly to the Practice Manager.

Qualifications

We seek motivated and experienced Registered or Certified Medical Assistants who possess:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a Medical Assistant role.
  • Current CPR Certification.
  • Medical Assistant certification or registration, with extensive experience potentially waiving this requirement.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR).
  • Experience working with geriatric patients is preferred.
  • Phlebotomy Technician Certification is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills and a customer service focus.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and a positive, adaptable attitude.
  • Fluency in Spanish, Polish, Russian, or other relevant languages is advantageous.
  • Authorization to work in the United States.
