Key Responsibilities- Assist dentists and hygienists with patient care, ensuring a smooth and efficient clinical experience.
- Continuously assess patient flow to optimize scheduling and minimize wait times.
- Respond promptly and effectively to patient, clinical, and operational concerns.
- Cross-train with Patient Relations staff to ensure seamless coverage in their absence.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Clinical Operations.
- Support the achievement of practice and organizational goals.
- Training as a Dental Assistant, preferably through a practice-based dental assisting program or other educational program.
- CPR or BLS certification.
- Preferred clinical experience in a high-functioning dental office.
- Training on an electronic medical record.
- EPIC training is a major plus, but not necessary.
- Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental patient screening, and medical history documentation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Time management and punctuality.
- A positive attitude and professionalism as a representative of High Point University Health.
- Receptive to feedback, performance improvement, and continuous coaching.
- Flexibility to cover other offices under High Point University Health.
- Director of Clinical Operations.
- Ongoing performance reviews and annual assessments by the CDO, including input from faculty and students.
