Job Summary

As an Airport Firefighter EMT with Rural Metro, you will be responsible for providing emergency medical services and firefighting response at the Orlando Executive Airport. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a strong commitment to safety and customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to emergency calls and provide medical assistance to airport patrons and employees
  • Operate and maintain fire department equipment and apparatus
  • Perform daily, weekly, and annual vehicle and equipment inspections
  • Conduct fire safety inspections and provide training to airport tenants
  • Assist in the implementation of the Airport Emergency Plan
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • NIMS 100, 200, 700, and 800 certifications
  • NFPA 1001 Firefighter II certification
  • NFPA 472 Hazardous Materials-Operations certification
  • NFPA 1003 Airport Firefighter certification
  • Florida EMT certification
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
