Airport Firefighter EMT Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Airport Firefighter EMT to join our team at the Orlando Executive Airport. As a key member of our emergency response team, you will be responsible for providing firefighting and emergency medical services to the airport and its patrons.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Respond to aircraft, hazardous materials, structural, and EMS incidents at the Orlando Executive Airport.
  • Provide medical emergency services to airport patrons and employees.
  • Ensure the station apparatus, equipment, and spare equipment are maintained in good condition.
  • Perform daily, weekly, semi-annual, and annual vehicle and equipment inspections.
  • Identify and eliminate fire safety hazards in buildings, structures, fueling facilities, and fueling vehicles.
  • Complete required reports in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Assist in the implementation of the Airport Emergency Plan and respond accordingly.
  • Attend required training classes and train other employees as needed.
  • Drive emergency vehicles, navigate, operate audible warning devices, and respond to radio communications.
Requirements:
  • High school graduate or GED certificate.
  • NIMS 100, 200, 700, and 800 certifications.
  • NFPA 1001 Firefighter II certification (State or ability to obtain reciprocity).
  • NFPA 472, Hazardous Materials-Operations certification (State or ability to obtain reciprocity).
  • NFPA 1003 Airport Firefighter certification (State or IFSAC) or completion of an FAA 40-hour approved course with current annual burn.
  • Florida EMT certification at time of hire and maintenance throughout employment.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Pass a company background and criminal history records check.
