Position Overview:

1. Serve as an essential internal and external resource for specimen and testing details.

3. Understand and manage the processes of test requesting, labeling, specimen storage, retrieval, and tracking of all specimens designated for testing.
4. Perform administrative tasks, including maintaining accurate records.
5. Comply with departmental policies and procedures to uphold operational standards.
6. Foster a culture of quality and support by acting as a role model for colleagues.
7. Provide remedial training as needed, under the guidance of the supervisor.

Qualifications:
- A minimum of three years of experience in a medical laboratory setting.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work autonomously, with a keen attention to detail, ensuring high-quality output.
- Commitment to adhering to relevant laws and regulations, including CAP, CLIA, HIPAA, Safety, and OSHA standards.
- Proficiency in relevant software applications.

Physical Requirements:
This role involves the manipulation of tools and equipment, requiring physical actions such as pushing, pulling, lifting, reaching, grasping, and climbing. Visual acuity is necessary for distinguishing color, size, shape, and motility.

Work Environment:
The position is based in a controlled medical environment, with potential exposure to noise, contagious pathogens, and hazardous materials. Adherence to safety protocols is essential.
