Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Call Center Representative to join our team at Edward M. Kennedy Community Health Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our patients and families, ensuring their needs are met with kindness, respect, and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Answer inbound telephone calls and respond to patient inquiries in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Complete messages to be followed up on by Primary Care teams using standardized messages and the appropriate message systems.
  • Review and verify all callers' information and patients' information.
  • Process basic insurance referrals upon request and update patients' charts to reflect the request and the referral authorization number.
  • Complete assigned tasks, including calling patients to complete the following: cancel/reschedule appointments, make reminder calls to patients, populate data into various spreadsheets/reports for data analysis, tracking, and information management.
Requirements:
  • Bilingual in Spanish or Portuguese is Required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
