About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Excess Loss Specialist to join our team at Elevance Health. As a key member of our risk management team, you will play a critical role in reviewing claims and interpreting contracts to ensure accurate and timely payments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and analyze excess loss claims to ensure compliance with contractual requirements
  • Interpret complex contracts and policies to determine claim entitlement
  • Work closely with reinsurance carriers and internal departments to resolve claims issues
  • Prepare management reports to identify areas for improvement and prevent future errors
  • Serve as liaison with reinsurance auditors to resolve aggregate claims
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; 3+ years of claims and/or customer service experience preferred
  • Strong written and oral communication skills; proficiency in Microsoft products and computer skills a plus
  • Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to work independently and with team
