Job Title: Maintenance Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Manager to lead our hotel's maintenance team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the hotel's facilities are well-maintained, safe, and functional for our guests and associates.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the maintenance team to ensure efficient and effective delivery of services.
  • Recruit, interview, and hire maintenance staff to meet the hotel's needs.
  • Develop and implement departmental goals and objectives to prioritize and organize work.
  • Drive associate engagement and recognition initiatives to promote a positive work environment.
  • Manage the ordering and inventory of maintenance supplies and uniforms.
  • Supervise staffing levels to ensure guest services, operational needs, and financial objectives are met.
  • Troubleshoot and repair malfunctions in electrical/mechanical systems and other hotel equipment as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA guidelines and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Manage the ongoing room preventative maintenance program and review maintenance problems and complaints to prioritize and schedule work.
  • Conduct routine property inspections to identify potential and current needs.
  • Estimate department expenditures for budget purposes and assist with capital budget process.
  • Coordinate with local health, safety, fire, and building inspectors to ensure compliance with applicable codes and regulations.
Requirements:
  • 2 years of previous hotel engineering or management experience.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of kitchen equipment and refrigeration preferred.
  • Working knowledge of fire protection and life safety systems.
  • Reliable with the ability to multi-task and work under pressure.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiar with common computer software programs (e.g. Microsoft Office).
