Job Summary:

The Tufts University Financial Services Operations Team is seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused individual to provide front-line support to faculty, staff, and students. As a Financial Operations Support Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, resolving complex issues, and contributing to the development of knowledge bases and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide timely and accurate responses to customer inquiries via phone, email, and in-person interactions.
  • Resolve complex issues by utilizing knowledge bases, collaborating with functional specialists, and escalating issues as necessary.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of knowledge bases, processes, and policies to ensure seamless customer service delivery.
  • Support the implementation of process improvements and contribute to the continuous improvement of customer service delivery.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of work experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in financial operations or a related field.
  • Proven ability to handle difficult conversations, identify creative solutions, and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Proficient in MS Office and ability to learn and use CRM tools and other technologies.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and time management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Professional certifications in financial operations or a related field.
