Job Summary

Tufts Medical Center is seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist II to join our diagnostic imaging team. As a Diagnostic Radiology Technologist II, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the efficient operation of our department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate patient conditions and ensure patient safety through proper use of restraint/support devices.
  • Review each examination for technical accuracy and present completed examinations to appropriate supervisors.
  • Coordinate radiographic examinations to ensure quality and continuity of patient care.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, visitors, and hospital personnel.
  • Initiate incident reports and ensure proper patient charge and continuity of patient care.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an approved School of Radiological Technology.
  • Certification granted by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (AART).
  • Licensed by the Massachusetts Radiation Control Board.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two (2) years directly related experience.

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to transport patients and move portable x-ray machines.
  • Occasional sitting, frequent standing, walking, and lifting of 30-35 lbs.
  • Able to wear protective lead aprons and lead gloves during examinations.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Knowledge of radiographic equipment, examinations, and procedures that require contrast agents.
  • Ability to organize patient care and set priorities.
  • Effective communication and time management skills.
