We are seeking a highly skilled Radiologic Technologist II to join our team at Tufts Medical Center. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the delivery of exceptional healthcare services.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate patient conditions and perform radiographic procedures to aid in diagnosis and treatment.
  • Operate medical imaging equipment and ensure proper use of restraint/support devices to ensure patient safety.
  • Review examinations for technical accuracy and present completed examinations to supervisors.
  • Coordinate radiographic examinations to ensure quality and continuity of patient care.
  • Contribute to the efficient operation of the department and maintain confidentiality of hospital-related information.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an approved School of Radiological Technology.
  • Certification granted by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (AART).
  • Licensed by the Massachusetts Radiation Control Board.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two (2) years directly related experience.

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to transport patients and move portable x-ray machines.
  • Occasional sitting, frequent standing, walking, and lifting of 30-35 lbs.
  • Able to wear protective lead aprons and lead gloves during examinations.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Knowledge of radiographic equipment, examinations, and procedures that require contrast agents.
  • Ability to organize patient care and set priorities.
  • Effective communication and time management skills.
