Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist II to join our team at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH).

Key Responsibilities:

Under the general direction of the Chief of Pain Medicine & Administrative Manager, the Radiologic Technologist II will perform a variety of patient contact duties related to the operations of radiologic equipment to make clinical X-ray images as directed by a physician. This includes explaining safety protocols and routine procedures to patients, conducting equipment system warm-up and quality assurance procedures, and obtaining patient vital signs and communicating directly with the Center's physician staff.

Requirements:

A minimum of high school diploma and successful completion of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology. Must be certified by the ARRT and must possess a valid license to practice as a radiologic technologist in the state of Massachusetts. Knowledge of anatomy, cross-sectional anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and radiographic positioning and radiographic equipment is required. Effective interpersonal and communications skills, attention to detail, and ability to provide compassionate care to patients are also essential.
