Position Summary:

This role entails the installation of conduits and wiring for devices and controllers associated with Building Automation Systems. Candidates must be proficient in interpreting MEP plans and specifications, as well as BAS Submittal Drawings. A valid driver's license is required, and candidates must be eligible to operate a company vehicle.

Position Levels:

Level-1: Requires close supervision during project installations. Responsible for accurate inventory management on-site. Must assist Journeyman with the installation of electrical conduits, conductors, junction boxes, and Building Automation materials. Willingness to learn company processes and products is essential. (1-3 years of experience)

Level-2: Operates with minimal supervision during project installations. Responsible for maintaining accurate inventory counts. Must support apprentices and Journeyman with installations and have a solid understanding of company processes. Additional duties include assisting with point-to-point checks and project documentation. (2-4 years of experience)

Level-3: Works independently on multiple project installations. Responsible for accurate inventory management. Must support apprentices and have a comprehensive understanding of company processes. Additional responsibilities include performing point-to-point checks and project documentation. A Journeyman's License in Nebraska is required. (4+ years of experience)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work safely and efficiently while performing job functions.
  • Ensure complete customer satisfaction.
  • Engage professionally with clients and contractors.
  • Coordinate with project managers and team leads to fulfill project requirements.
  • Assist team members as necessary.
  • Install control wiring, components, and EMT conduits, while interpreting electrical diagrams.
  • Read MEP plans and other construction documents.
  • Provide updates on project status.
  • Troubleshoot system issues effectively.
  • Obtain or possess an OSHA Safety Certificate.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED with at least one year of relevant experience or training.
  • Valid driver's license and eligibility to operate a company vehicle.
  • Documented experience or training in various systems and controls.
  • Ability to work overtime and travel as needed.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical and mechanical drawings.
  • Strong computer skills preferred for Level 3; beneficial but not required for Levels 1-2.
  • Effective communication skills with clients, contractors, and team members.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform various physical tasks.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

Work Schedule:

  • Standard 40-hour work week.
  • Typical 4/10 schedule from Monday to Thursday.
  • Day shifts with potential night shifts, overtime, and weekend work as needed.
  • Travel may be required.
