Ambulatory Clinic Patient Access Coordinator

The Patient Access Specialist is a vital member of our ambulatory care team, responsible for providing exceptional patient experience and ensuring seamless registration processes. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Meet with patients and/or caregivers to exchange necessary information and documentation, providing clear explanations and addressing concerns.
- Communicate with referring providers, clinical departments, and other personnel to exchange information and determine schedules.
- Verify insurance benefits and obtain pre-certification/authorization as needed.
- Determine and accept required payments, including co-pays and deductibles, or refer to financial counselors for follow-up.
- Ensure accurate and timely entry of demographic, billing, and clinical information into the registration system.
