Principal Electrical Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team at RTX. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in analog and digital design, with expertise in areas such as small signal amplification, low noise techniques, and mixed signal design.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Circuit and sub-system design, modeling, simulation, and design verification test.
  • Requirements analysis and decomposition, sub-system and circuit design, modeling, simulation, and design verification test.
  • Occasional travel to supplier, integration, and customer sites.
  • Lead small teams to success managing schedule, budget, and technical execution.
  • Coach and review the work of lower-level professionals.
  • Communicate with parties within and outside of own department.

Requirements:

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior work experience or an Advanced degree and 5 years of prior work experience.
  • Experience with development of circuit cards/modules, subsystems/assemblies, and/or test systems.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Secret security clearance post-start is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
  • Experience working in a multi-use Engineering laboratory.
  • Experience leading and growing a multi-discipline engineering team.
  • Experience writing detailed requirements, design, and test documents.
  • Experience with Earned Value Management.
  • Interpersonal and communication skills; both verbal and written.
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance.

Clearance Information:

This position requires a security clearance. DCSA Consolidated Adjudication Services (DCSA CAS), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process.
