Summary Description:


ZOLL LifeVest, a leader in innovative cardiac protection solutions, is in search of a Patient Service Representative to work as an independent contractor. This role involves educating patients on the LifeVest wearable defibrillator, designed for individuals at risk of sudden cardiac arrest (SCA).

The LifeVest is a lightweight device that allows patients to maintain their daily routines while ensuring their safety against SCA.

This position is ideal for healthcare professionals with experience in patient care and education, providing an opportunity to enhance their income.

Typically, LifeVest patients are in a hospital setting preparing for discharge, and the PSR is responsible for setting up the device and instructing patients and their caregivers on its use.

Additionally, PSRs will follow up with patients to ensure comprehension and satisfaction. Flexibility is a key aspect of this role, as representatives can choose assignments that fit their schedules, with many opportunities available during evenings, weekends, and days off.

Responsibilities:


• Manage inventory of equipment and garments
• Contact caregivers and family members to arrange fittings
• Be available for evening and weekend appointments
• Travel to patients' residences for fittings or follow-up visits
• Disclose any family connections with potential referral sources
• Program equipment according to the physician's specifications
• Measure patients to determine the appropriate garment size
• Train patients and caregivers on the LifeVest operation
• Ensure patients sign the Patient Agreement and WEAR Checklist
• Fax the signed Patient Agreement and WEAR Checklist to ZOLL within 24 hours of the assignment

Qualifications:


• Minimum of 1 year of professional patient care experience
• Patient care experience must be documented on resume
• Disclose personal NPI number (if applicable)
• Possess a valid driver's license and car insurance
• Willingness to cover costs for additional training and vendor credentials (i.e., DME/RepTrax), fees not covered by ZOLL.
