Position Overview:

The Customer Care Associate is responsible for delivering exceptional service to clients. This role involves processing applications for various services, providing essential information, maintaining accurate records, and executing additional responsibilities as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducts intake procedures and completes applications or registrations to assess eligibility for services.
  • Evaluates service levels and gathers necessary documentation.
  • Calculates client income and determines the appropriate hours of care based on eligibility.
  • Issues relevant documentation to clients for the continuation of eligibility.
  • Submits necessary paperwork for processing applications.
  • Addresses inquiries from clients and vendors, ensuring prompt responses.
  • Follows up with clients who have received referrals to confirm access to required services.
  • Assesses client satisfaction and verifies application information, requesting additional details when necessary.
  • Handles customer complaints by coordinating with supervisors and program managers.
  • Keeps detailed logs and records essential for program operations.
  • Generates and maintains reports for supervisory review.
  • Represents the program at meetings and community events, engaging with clients and the public.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Educational Background:
A high school diploma or equivalent (GED) is required.

Experience:
A minimum of three (3) years of experience in a relevant field is necessary.

Licenses and Certifications:
A valid driver's license may be required, with a driving history that meets the Cherokee Nation's underwriting standards.

Technical Skills:
Proficiency in database management and word processing software is essential.

Interpersonal Skills:
Strong ability to interact effectively with the public is required.

Additional Requirements:
Employees must not be under sanction by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services or listed on any exclusion lists.

Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands for various tasks, and communicate effectively. Occasional standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds may be necessary. Specific vision abilities required include close, distance, and color vision.

Work Environment:
This role may involve exposure to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions, with a moderate noise level in the workplace.
