Job Title: Resident Services Associate

Brooke Grove Retirement Village is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Resident Services Associate to join our team. As a key member of our care team, you will provide exceptional support to our residents, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist residents with bathing, grooming, and personal activities of daily living as needed.
  • Help maintain cleanliness of the building and assist with cleaning, preparation, and simple maintenance duties as assigned.
  • Monitor and assist residents in the dining room at meal times.
  • Assist with laundry as requested.
  • Provide appropriate care for incontinent residents by changing undergarments/pads and following toileting schedules.
  • Check each resident as directed and maintain awareness of comfort and safety needs.
  • Provide medication assistance by following assisted living guidelines, if approved by delegating nurse.
  • Read communication books at the beginning of each shift.
  • Notify Home Leader and/or nurse of any changes in resident's condition, and significant incidents.
  • Ensure residents are ready to participate in scheduled activities and participate with residents in activities programs as assigned.
  • Keep all doors secure and assure keypads are operational and report if security measures are not functioning properly.
  • Attend change of shift report, dependent on work assignment.
  • Actively participate in behavioral intervention meetings and provide consistent intervention according to service plan.
  • Maintain clear walkways for safety inside the home.
  • Understand fire escape plan; participate in emergency drills and assist residents according to policy, procedure, and regulations.
  • Respond to life-saving situations based upon facility standards, policies, procedures, and protocol.
  • Attend and participate in facility meetings and trainings as scheduled.
  • Have the ability to maintain assigned work hours.
  • Successfully complete the Medication Technician course.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Current state Geriatric Nursing Assistant registration, current CPR certification, and medication administration training, or be able to obtain.
