Resident Instructor

Community Residences is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Resident Instructor to join our team. As a Resident Instructor, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing and supportive environment for individuals with developmental disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement individualized plans of care to promote independence and self-advocacy.
- Provide direct support and care to individuals with developmental disabilities, including assistance with daily living tasks, medication administration, and transportation.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and support.
- Monitor and report changes in client behavior, medical conditions, and other relevant information.
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- At least two years of experience in human services or a related field.
- Valid CT driver's license and good driving record.
- Ability to lift and transfer 70-75lbs.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
