Job Summary:

Compunnel is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacist - Clinical Expert to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert clinical guidance and support to patients, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Medication Management: Ensure accurate and safe medication dispensing, including compounding and dispensing medications and pharmaceutical supplies in accordance with standard procedure and legal, ethical, and professional standards of pharmacy practice.
  • Clinical Guidance: Provide expert clinical guidance and support to patients, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders on medication therapy, including interpreting medication orders, modifying doses, and writing progress notes.
  • Quality Assurance: Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including maintaining accurate records and reports.
  • Leadership and Collaboration: Collaborate with the Director of Pharmacy and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement clinical programs and services, and provide leadership and guidance to technical support staff.
  • Education and Training: Develop and deliver educational programs and materials to healthcare professionals and patients on medication management and other relevant topics.

Requirements:

  • Education: Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree or equivalent.
  • License: Current KY BOP license.
  • Certification: BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in a clinical pharmacy setting.
