Key Responsibilities
- Configure and operate digital printing press equipment to ensure readiness for production tasks.
- Read and interpret instructions from the job jacket to ensure proper setup of printing jobs.
- Manage and execute the printing of documents, including setup and formatting, to achieve optimum print quality.
- Understand the capabilities of the printing machine to maximize print quality and efficiency.
- Perform routine printing procedures, requiring quality inspection, adherence to procedures, visual discrimination, and analytical judgment.
- Stock machines with necessary materials and manage inventory levels.
- Troubleshoot and perform light maintenance on printing equipment as required.
- Ensure that scheduled deadlines are met while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Continually inspect printed jobs for completeness and accuracy.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and orderly work environment.
- Adhere to all safety and work rule regulations.
- Take on additional duties as needed to support the printing team.
Requirements
- Direct experience with Ricoh, HP Indigo, or Canon digital printing presses.
- HP Indigo experience required for 3rd Shift; Indigo Certification highly preferred.
- Proficient computer skills, particularly in file-to-print processes.
- Technical and mechanical aptitude, with relevant experience in printing or production.
- Experience with color printing, preferably in a 4-color process setting.
- Quality-focused mindset with the ability to identify and address quality-related issues.
- Strong communication skills, capable of effective written and verbal expression.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work well in a team environment.
- Flexible and adaptable, ready to meet the challenges of varying daily production needs.
- Customer-oriented attitude with a proactive approach.
- Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods, handling materials as needed.
