Job Overview

As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for programming and preparing printing jobs, operating and maintaining digital print equipment, and ensuring the production of high-quality outputs.


Key Responsibilities
  • Configure and operate digital printing press equipment to ensure readiness for production tasks.
  • Read and interpret instructions from the job jacket to ensure proper setup of printing jobs.
  • Manage and execute the printing of documents, including setup and formatting, to achieve optimum print quality.
  • Understand the capabilities of the printing machine to maximize print quality and efficiency.
  • Perform routine printing procedures, requiring quality inspection, adherence to procedures, visual discrimination, and analytical judgment.
  • Stock machines with necessary materials and manage inventory levels.
  • Troubleshoot and perform light maintenance on printing equipment as required.
  • Ensure that scheduled deadlines are met while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Continually inspect printed jobs for completeness and accuracy.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and orderly work environment.
  • Adhere to all safety and work rule regulations.
  • Take on additional duties as needed to support the printing team.

Requirements
  • Direct experience with Ricoh, HP Indigo, or Canon digital printing presses.
  • HP Indigo experience required for 3rd Shift; Indigo Certification highly preferred.
  • Proficient computer skills, particularly in file-to-print processes.
  • Technical and mechanical aptitude, with relevant experience in printing or production.
  • Experience with color printing, preferably in a 4-color process setting.
  • Quality-focused mindset with the ability to identify and address quality-related issues.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of effective written and verbal expression.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Flexible and adaptable, ready to meet the challenges of varying daily production needs.
  • Customer-oriented attitude with a proactive approach.
  • Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods, handling materials as needed.
