The Business Development Center Associate is responsible for receiving, processing, verifying, and distributing information from both inbound and outbound calls, including but not limited to inquiries on new and pre-owned vehicles, internet leads, and providing general information. This role understands and demonstrates characteristics, capabilities, and features; developing and qualifying buyers; working leads and closing the sales.
Key Responsibilities:- Handle all guest inquiries with a focus on 100% guest satisfaction.
- Connect with prospective customers to set and confirm appointments, following up on no-show customers.
- Maintain an owner follow-up system that encourages repeat and referral business and contributes to customer satisfaction.
- Transfer online leads to a closing sale seamlessly.
- Partner with the Internet Sales Manager and Management Team to provide near-real-time quotes to customer inquiries.
- Build a working knowledge of the terminology of the automobile business and keep abreast of technological changes in the product.
- Demonstrate behaviors consistent with the Company's Vision, Mission, and Values in all interactions with customers, co-workers, and suppliers.
- Understand automobiles by studying characteristics, capabilities, and features; comparing and contrasting competitive models; inspecting automobiles.
- Develop buyers by maintaining rapport with previous customers; suggesting trade-ins; meeting prospects at community activities; greeting drop-ins; responding to inquiries; recommending sales campaigns and promotions.
- Qualify buyers by understanding buyer's requirements and interests; matching requirements and interests to various models; building rapport.
- Demonstrate automobiles by explaining characteristics, capabilities, and features; taking drives; explaining warranties and services.
- Close sales by overcoming objections; asking for sales; negotiating price; completing sales or purchase contracts; explaining provisions; explaining and offering warranties, services, and financing; collects payment; delivers automobile.
- Forecast goals at the beginning of each month.
- Understand the dealership's inventory daily.
- Prospect on a day-to-day basis by phone, mail, and person to person - maintain a prospect development system.
- Maintain an owner follow-up system that encourages repeat and referral business and contributes to customer satisfaction.
- Deliver vehicles to customers.
- Ensure the customer understands the vehicle's operating features, warranty, and paperwork.
- Demonstrate an understanding that business is built on excellent customer satisfaction and being devoted to guaranteeing customer satisfaction.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalence.
- 3+ years of experience in a sales role at a dealership.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking throughout the dealership.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
