Culinary Arts Instructor Opportunity

The Tennessee Board of Regents invites applications for adjunct instructors in Culinary Arts. This is a great opportunity for enthusiastic educators to contribute to the growth and development of students in this field.
Position SummaryThis position is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in an equitable environment. The ideal candidate will have the ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with a diverse student population.
Essential Job Functions- Teach courses via on-ground, online, and hybrid or web-enhanced delivery modes as assigned.
- Work with course leads and/or program coordinators to ensure consistent and equitable student experiences.
- Utilize the College's learning management system to provide course materials to students.
- Submit updated department syllabus prior to the first day of class.
- Regularly check College email account and department mailbox.
- Respond to emails/messages within 48 hours, except on weekends.
- Complete all required reports, such as attendance, Early Alerts, student progress reports, grade submissions, and administer and return surveys and student outcome assessments by the deadlines.
- Submit final grades for each semester by the deadline established by the Registrar.
- Comply with all College and TBR policies and guidelines.
- Associate's degree in Culinary Arts.
- Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree in Culinary Arts, three years of related industry experience, Certified Executive Chef with the American Culinary Federation, and college-level teaching experience.
- Knowledge of and/or experience with a variety of instructional delivery modes, including synchronous and asynchronous online teaching.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with a diverse student, faculty, and staff population.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
The rate of pay for this position is $740.00 per credit hour.
