Position Summary: The Recreation Program Coordinator plays a vital role in the planning and management of diverse recreational activities, including community events, facility usage, and sports programs for all age groups. This position requires a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, and operates under the supervision of a Recreation Supervisor across various locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and organize materials and equipment for recreational activities
  • Engage with participants and the community to promote programs
  • Oversee the setup and breakdown of events and activities
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols among facility users
  • Deliver excellent customer service and address concerns effectively
  • Monitor activities and maintain accurate program documentation
  • Participate in training sessions and contribute insights for program improvement

Qualifications:

  1. Education: High school diploma or equivalent required
  2. Experience: Familiarity with community recreation initiatives preferred
  3. Other: Successful completion of a background check and possession of reliable transportation
