Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Clinical Therapy Manager with daily office tasks, including reviewing referrals, patient care audits, scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and coordinating communication with healthcare providers.
  • Coordinate and schedule home health care visits, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of therapy services to patients.
  • Serve as a point of contact for patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals, addressing inquiries and coordinating care plans.
  • Support therapy staff by preparing necessary documentation, tracking visit schedules, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with the therapy team to optimize patient outcomes, streamline processes, and enhance the quality of care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the continuous improvement of therapy operations.
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to ethical and professional standards in all interactions.
  • Provide direct physical therapy according to the directions of the physical therapist and the physician's plan of care.
  • Participate in public relations and community activities that promote the organization's role in the healthcare delivery system.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned, adapting to the needs of the department to support overall operations and ensure the highest quality of service.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an approved Physical Therapy Assistant program.
  • Current certification or licensure as required by state law.
  • Maintains current CPR certification.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Licensed driver with an automobile that is insured per state/organization requirements and is in good working order.
  • Compassionate attitude, empathy for patients, and a commitment to delivering high-quality care.
