Role Summary: We are seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineering Leader to spearhead the design and implementation of manufacturing solutions that resonate with key lean principles. This role involves planning and enhancing production methodologies, estimating production timelines to meet established goals, and developing innovative automation solutions that bolster assembly and manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and monitor improvement objectives that drive world-class performance.
  • Utilize Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and metrics to ensure effective execution.
  • Oversee product manufacturing and process optimization initiatives.
  • Analyze product and material flow, cycle times, and quality for continuous improvement.
  • Research and implement new manufacturing techniques and equipment to enhance capabilities.
  • Support automated assembly and testing systems within the manufacturing environment.
  • Collaborate with various departments to align manufacturing activities with production schedules and customer requirements.
  • Develop and enforce operating and quality control procedures.
  • Lead the manufacturing engineering team in ongoing process and procedure enhancements.
  • Research and develop information system solutions to improve production data collection and reporting.
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to innovation.
  • Guide engineering teams on product structure for optimal production flow.
  • Review Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and Bills of Material (BOMs).
  • Participate in product development reviews to provide insights on manufacturability.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and respectful communication within the team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of five years of direct experience in manufacturing, focusing on equipment and process design.
  • Experience with automation controls design or system development in a manufacturing context.
  • Proficiency in 2D and 3D solid modeling is preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in process improvement initiatives, including design of experiments (DOE).
  • Strong understanding of Lean manufacturing principles and ISO quality standards.
  • Advanced proficiency in software systems, including Word, Excel, SharePoint, and statistical analysis tools.
  • Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems, particularly SAP, is advantageous.
  • Excellent multitasking abilities, attention to detail, and strong communication skills.
  • Ability to document processes and training materials thoroughly.
